Butterfly Sleep

 Burst from pearls, sibling worms
 Argue the universe verdant, spinning
 The long nap
 That erupts us
 Into floating lemon leaves
 We drowse heavy
 Nectar dreams
 Of our flights
 Tightly folded
 Days of drinking
 Air and perfume
 Pendulous rich
 Tang in our dance.
 Why battle?
Dew lives evaporate in the heat of a morning
That never lasts but always returns
 As sure as blossoms.
